If you’re a fan of dancing around to thumping beats then the latest VR game by Maxint is an obvious download … presenting Soundboxing.
Recently released on STEAM and developed for the HTC Vive, Soundboxing is just what it says it is, a mix of sound and boxing, So how does it work? Well you can load up your own favourite music videos and as it plays you have to punch some robot dudes in time with the music, the more accurate the punches, the longer the punch streak, resulting in more points.
There’s a competitive multiplayer mode where you can see who played your beat ‘maps’ and their scores; motivating you into beating their scores.
Although similar to the virtual reality music game Audioshield, Soundboxing uses Youtube for its music selection however that does mean that beat detection is manually done (as opposed to Audioshield’s automated offering).
Overall this is a great fun and frantic VR music game for the HTC Vive and will ensure you get a good workout from all those punches you’ll throw.
