Choose Proper Care Over Expensive Repairs of Your Charging Cables

15We live in a highly technological world; and if you have been paying any attention at all then you know things are about to get a whole lot more integrated.  And as we become more and more reliant on technology, it is going to become harder and harder to live without our things when they break. Even simple things like a broken charging cable can seem like the end of the world; and replacing them, sometimes, can cost a pretty penny.

The good news, though, is that it is entirely possible for the average person to repair a broken cable.  Your success depends, of course, upon how damaged the item is and how proficient you are with tools (and problem solving).

A frayed cable is easy to fix.  This occurs when the outer sheath starts to wear away but the inner parts are still working.  Perhaps the whole cable looks like it is starting to split.  A quick fix would be, of course, wrapping the cable in electrical tape (and it must be electrical tape).  If it does look like the actual wires, themselves, have broken, it might also be possible to solder them back together, if you have the equipment and the know-how.

Much like it is actually better for humans to adhere to preventive safety measures in terms of their health and daily operations (like driving, cooking, etc), it is also better to exhibit preventive measures when caring for your phone.  Repairs can be expensive, so let that motivate you to taking better care of your delicate Primecables.com technology. For one, never wrap charging cables tightly. This risks breaking the wires inside as well as fraying the sheath. Instead, you can roll or gather them loosely. Similarly, do not yank the cable out of your phone input; instead firmly pinch the plug itself and pull out directly from the base, gently.

Many people have a hard time putting the phone down, even when it is charging, but if you want the battery to live a long life, that is what you have to do. If you can help it, only plug in your phone at night, while you sleep, after the battery has run down from an entire day of use.  When you use your phone while it is plugged in, believe it or not, it can diminish the life of the battery’s full charge capacity.
